Dept of Medical Education
The Medical Education Unit (MEU) in Christian Medical College, Ludhiana was established in 1992.
Since that time, the MEU has conducted many workshops and training programmes for faculty development.
The MEU was upgraded to Department of Medical Education (DOME) in 2014 as it was designated as MCI Nodal Centre for Faculty Development
New Venue
A state of art DOME was inaugurated in the New building complex, 1st floor on 21st January 2020 by Director, Dr. William Bhatti, Principal, Dr. Jeyaraj Pandian and Convener DOME, Dr. Dinesh Badyal.

CMCL-FAIMER
In the year 2005, the department got associated with FAIMER, Philadelphia (Foundation for Advancement of Medical Education and Research) and CMC became one of the three Regional FAIMER centres (CMCL FAIMER Regional Institute) in the country.
16 Fellows are selected each year for the two-year Fellowship Programme for faculty from South East Asia region.
Courses
The Medical Council of India recognized CMC as a Regional Centre for Faculty Development in 2009 which was later upgraded to a Nodal Centre in 2014. The NMC Nodal Centre regularly conducts Basic Course for Medical Education Technologies, Curriculum Implementation Support Program, and Advance course in medical education for allocated medical colleges
